Traveling is a learning curve. You do not always get things right the first time. In fact, you will have to encounter many mishaps first before you can really get a hang of traveling. Whether you like it or not, mistakes are an inevitable part of traveling and there plenty of mistakes that you can do along the way. In fact, here are some of the most common mistakes that travelers do:

·         Packing too much stuff

I think all travelers have fallen a victim to this very common travel crime. After packing all the stuff you think you need, you lift up your luggage and you are surprised to find out that it is quite light so it makes you think—is there something else that I’m missing? To make sure, you decided to bring an extra pair of clothes, an extra of this, an extra of that. And before you know it, your bag is already too full and it is impossible for you to close it. What’s worse is that you were able to reach the airport before you realize that you overpacked and as a result, your luggage has been subjected to overbaggage fee. In addition to that, you have to suffer the entire trip because you have to carry a heavy luggage from one place to the other.

·         Booking a cheap (but super early) flight

Anyone who is in a budget has done this. You may think that waking up extra hours earlier for a cheap flight is worth it. Well, it isn’t. This is because the lack of sleep will certainly ruin your first day. For sure, you will be knackered during your first day of the trip because you were not able to sleep the night before. Now, that is a waste of time and extra day for hotel accommodation, don’t you think?

·         Making brave menu decisions

We are all quite brave and the go-getters when we are on a trip. You are in a  foreign land so why don’t you jump off that cliff? No one knows who you are so why not dance naked on the bar and of course, you are in an exotic place, why are you going to order something safe? So you did and sometimes, you are thankful you made that decision but sometimes, it leads to something you regret later on.

There are many things that travel teaches us but it is impossible for us to learn all of these lessons without committing a mistake. It is true that most travelers are prone to making the mistakes mentioned above but it is also through these mistakes that they were able to learn their lessons.
