Keep in mind that there are still some countries or cities that do not understand or speak English. When you know a few phrases, it would be easier for you to communicate with the locals. If you really have no time to learn even the most basic words, then you can translate your English during your trip. You can do that simply by downloading a translating app. There are many apps that you can use for this purpose and you can find all of them in the app store. While you can easily make a search on Google to find the translation, you will not be able to do that in the event that you have no mobile data or if there is no signal in the place that you are in.

·         Get a brochure from the airport.

If you have been traveling for quite some time, you may not pay much attention to the brochures that they offer at the airport. These will actually come handy if you do not know the language as it will help you to know the pronounciations of the destinations that are difficult to pronounce.

·         Bring a picture book.

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so it is wise that you use a picture to say the words that you do not know how to say or pronounce. There are some travel picture books that contain pictures of useful things that you may need during your trip.
